Isolated involvement of the kidneys by ray fungus is very rare. Cope (1938) had found only 20 cases in the literature. Baron and Arduino (1949) reported what they considered the twentieth case of primary or solitary actinomycosis of the kidney. Wilson-Pepper (1951) published the report of a case of actinomycosis of the right kidney which was also the seat of calculus pyonephrosis.
